Position Summary:: The 2IC (Second-in-Command) for the Maintenance Manager will assist in overseeing the maintenance of our technologically advanced climate controlled greenhouse and automated post-harvest systems. This role involves supporting the Maintenance Manager in managing the in-house inventory system, ensuring the availability of critical spares, and maintaining all equipment within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance of greenhouse and post-harvest systems
- Help manage the in-house inventory system to ensure availability of critical spares
- Support the purchasing process within company policy and budget constraints
- Monitor and report on maintenance activities and costs
- Supervise maintenance staff and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Stand in for the Maintenance Manager during absences or as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance within a high-tech agricultural or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of climate control and automated systems
- Excellent organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to support budget management and report variances
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative when needed
